Wright State Raider men begin northeast Ohio road trip Thursday night

The Wright State Raiders jumped on the bus Wednesday afternoon for their two-game swing to Northeast Ohio.

The Raiders start in Youngstown on Thursday at 7 p.m. for a rematch against the Penguins.

Wright State beat YSU 79-72 last month at the Nutter Center.

The road trip continues Saturday afternoon in Cleveland with a 3 p.m. tip against the Vikings.

Wright State is on a four-game winning streak and the Raiders are also winners of 17 of their last 20 games.

A Wright State win Thursday combined with a Northern Kentucky loss in Cleveland would clinch the Horizon League regular season title for the Raiders.

“Youngstown is as good a team as we’ll see this year,” Raiders head coach Scott Nagy said. “They are the best offensive team in the league that we’ll see and our defense will have to be good.

Wright State leads the league in scoring at 82.5 points per game. The Raiders also have the fourth stingiest defense in the league.
