FAIRBORN — Wright State University held a grand re-opening of its food pantry Monday afternoon.
People in the community donated shelving and food for the reopening.
The Raider Food Pantry’s new location will enable the service to serve more students in need.
“We’re a choice pantry, we don’t just hand you a bag when you come in, we actually let you choose what you want from the shelves,” said Joanna Evans, Raider Food Pantry Coordinator.
The pantry was created after a survey found 48 percent of students had experienced food insecurity while at Wright State.
