HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — A woman who shot a man prior to him crashing into an apartment off Palisades Drive in November was not indicted by a grand jury.

Nathen Rue was shot in the head prior to crashing into the apartment in the 1900 block of Palisades on Nov. 6. Rue died a few days later from his injuries and his death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators say they arrived at the apartment and found a crowd of people and a blue SUV that had crashed into the apartment.

A female reportedly approached a deputy as he arrived and stated that she was a CCW permit holder and that she had shot the driver of the blue SUV after he had attempted to strike her with the vehicle, police said.

On Monday, prosecutors could not say whether self defense was a factor in the grand jury’s decision.

The female who shot the man was interviewed by police and later released after detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit reviewed video footage of the incident.
