TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 1:55 p.m. (Sept. 9):

Chanelle Woods, 39, of Trotwood has been identified as the victim killed in a crash on state Route 49 in Trotwood Tuesday morning, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

Woods' cause and manner of her death are still under investigation by the coroner’s office.

Woods was the driver of a car involved in a crash on state Route 49 near Wolf Creek Pike around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Trotwood police previously said she was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

FIRST REPORT (Sept. 8):

A woman was killed in a crash on Ohio 49 just south of Wolf Creek Pike this morning, according to Trotwood Police.

Officers responded to the area around 9:15 a.m.

The crash involved a single vehicle and the woman was inside that vehicle when police arrived on the scene.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital, where she died, police said.

The cause of the crash is not known and the investigation is still ongoing.
