Woman falls asleep behind the wheel, crashes into vacant structure

DAYTON — A woman fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed into a vacant structure in Dayton early Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the area of N. Main Street and Santa Clara Avenue on reports of a vehicle into a structure around 12:45 a.m., per initial reports.

The woman was not injured as a result of the crash, but will be cited for failure to control, according to Dayton police.

The vehicle and the structure were both damaged as a result of the crash.
