DETAILED FORECAST:

TODAY: The strongest wind gusts today will be along and north of I-70, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones. We could see gusts up to 45 mph through the afternoon. Sunshine and warm weather will win today.

Highs will soar into the low 60s. Our humidity stays low, so with gusty winds and very dry conditions, we see an enhanced risk for wildfires.

People should avoid open burning through the afternoon and winds will relax into the night.

FRIDAY: A dry start to the day with less windy conditions and afternoon highs around 60 degrees. Clouds increase through the day and a few passing showers or sprinkles could develop at night.

SATURDAY: A front will keep the chance for some more showers around, mainly in the southern Miami Valley. Temperatures will range from the 50s to the north to around 60 south of the Dayton-metro area.

SUNDAY: Some showers around in the morning. There will be a brief break during the day. Highs spread through the 50s as gusty winds develop and rain becomes more widespread towards the late afternoon and into the night.

MONDAY: Showers come to an end early in the day. Highs reach the upper 40s so back to some cool weather.
