West Carrollton schools Pirate PALS program kicks-off tonight

West Carrollton Schools kick-off a Pirate PALS (Parents Assisting for Learning Success) program Tuesday night using the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) at Russell Elementary.

WATCH D.O.G.S. is a program used by schools across America to encourage adults to have a positive impact on student’s lives by showing commitment to the school, according to a release. Their time may be spent assisting in a classroom, playing at recess, eating lunch with students, watching school entrances and hallways and assisting with traffic flow, read the release.

Harry Russell is the pilot for the PALS and WATCH D.O.G.S. program, which is planned to expand to the middle school at a later date.

Anyone that would like to volunteer at the middle school, contact Amy Kincer at 937-859-5121 or akincer@wcsd.k12.oh.us.
