DAYTON — The downtown Webster Street Bridge is coming down, and the road will close to traffic beginning today for the next year and a half.
A detour will take motorists to Keowee Street to Monument Avenue.
Demolition of the bridge over the Mad River will be followed by construction of a new $10.1 million bridge that will feature five lanes, wider sidewalks, sky beams, observation decks and roadway improvements at either end of the bridge.
