Warrant issued for man in Troy bank robbery; police seek help locating him

TROY — A warrant has been issued for a man in reference to a bank robbery that took place in Troy on Saturday, June 5.

The Troy Police Department says a warrant has been issued for Bart Brandon Ely after he reportedly robbed the First Financial Bank at 1580 W. Main St.

An additional warrant has been issued by the Blufton, Indiana Police Department for a bank robbery in their jurisdiction, according to the police department.

According to police, Ely is a former resident of Sidney, Ohio and Ohio City, Ohio, and has family ties to the Sidney and Shelby County area.

Police say Ely is currently at large and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact their local police or Detective Nick Freisthler at the Troy Police Department (937)-339-7525 ext 1436.
