Overnight: Cooled air from storms earlier in the day has significantly decreased the chance for showers and storms into the overnight hours. An isolated storm is possible, but unlikely, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Jesse Maag said. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 70s.

Independence Day: It will be partly cloudy, hot and humid for Thursday's Fourth of July holiday. Highs will be in the upper 80s, but feeling like the middle 90s. Scattered thunderstorms will develop into the afternoon and evening.

Friday: Another round of afternoon and evening storms is expected. It still will be hot and humid with a high in the upper 80s.

Saturday: It will be hot and humid with partly sunny skies and the chance of a few more showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle 80s, but feeling close to 90 degrees.

Sunday: Conditions will be partly cloudy and warm, but not as humid. An isolated pop-up shower or storm is possible with highs in the middle 80s.

Monday: Humidity will be lower and temperatures near the average in the upper 80 to make for a nice start to the workweek. The less humid air will be accompanied by mostly sunny skies as well.
