VIDEO: Knife wielding man threatens RTA employees

Two RTA employees were threatened by a man with a knife inside the hub early Sunday morning, according to a police incident report.

An employee noticed a man sleeping on a bench inside the hub around 10:45 a.m. and tried to wake him up to tell him to leave. The man didn’t leave at this employees request.

A short time later, another employee asked him to leave and he became verbally aggressive, pulled a knife out of his pocket and waived it back and forth toward the employees, the report stated.  Neither employee was injured.

The man eventually ran off the property, and police put out a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) for him.

An off-duty officer later spotted the man and crews responded to arrested him and take him to jail. His identity was not released.
