PIQUA — Four Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were honored for their heroic response to a fiery crash on Interstate 75 that involved a school bus and semi truck.
On Monday, the troopers met a newborn they helped save when her pregnant bus driver mother was aboard the Piqua City Schools bus that was filled with smoke after the Dec. 14, 2018, crash.
The troopers responded within seconds and pulled bus driver Cayley Seitz to safety and also assisted aide Harold “JR” Reybern Jr. after the chain of crashes that involved four vehicles.
Troopers James Davis, Chip Gannon, Jason Hutchison and Sgt. David Robison were recognized for their actions.
