BROWN COUNTY — An EF-0 tornado that touched down in southern Ohio on Monday night hit the ground first in Kentucky and then crossed the Ohio River to do damage in Brown County, a National Weather Service survey team said Tuesday afternoon.
The tornado hit at 5:13 p.m. and was on the ground until 5:21 p.m., moving at an estimated 75 mph. There were no injuries or fatalities, the survey team said in its public information statement.
A weak tornado in Mason County, Kentucky, traveled across the river and into Brown County where it lifted in east Ripley, Ohio.
