Most customers have had service restored, the spokesman said.

Time Warner Cable is encouraging any customers still experiencing issues to reboot their equipment.

INITIAL REPORT:

Time Warner Cable is working to restore cable and internet services to some customers in the Dayton area after a fiber failed sometime overnight.

We received several reports from News Center 7 viewers indicating they lost service around midnight, just as New Year’s celebrations were getting underway.

A Time Warner Cable spokesman said the company is aware of the outage, which was caused by a fiber failure in the Leo Street area, and are working to restore services to customers.

An estimated time of restoration and exactly how many customers are impacted by the outage was not immediately available.
