Threat to cut bank worker’s throat over currency exchange lands man in jail

A 34-year-old Troy man is in jail, accused of threatening to cut the throat of a bank employee when he decided the bank couldn't change his euros to U.S. currency fast enough.

Marko Lazovic remained in the Miami County Jail on $10,000 cash bond Thursday night, charged with resisting arrest and telecommunications harassment. Both charges are misdemeanors.

He was arraigned Thursday morning in county municipal court.

According to court records, Troy police arrested Lazovic at his home Wednesday afternoon after bank officials reported the phone call.
