Video: Tense conversation ends in hug as mourners gather outside Dayton shooting memorial

DAYTON — Sadness, anger, frustration and love were all on display in the Oregon District at a memorial set up where a mass shooting took place early Sunday morning.

Cameras captured that wide range of emotions all within 75 seconds.

Mourners powered by grief expressed their frustration outside Ned Peppers where a gunman killed nine people earlier this week.

Emotions escalated between two men as they shouted at each other when suddenly, things clicked.

The men shook hands before embracing, turning it into a moment when nothing else mattered. Because while a hug can’t heal all, it can help.
