2 teens injured in Darke County crash on snow-covered road

Two teens were injured after crashing their vehicle into a utility pole after sliding on snow-covered roads Tuesday evening.

Darke County deputies arrived on the scene of a crash involving two teens Tuesday evening.

The accident occured in the 11400 block of Staudt Rd.

According to Darke County Sheriff's Office, Kyler Guillozet, 16, of Rossburg was headed south on Staudt Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered roadway and struck a mailbox and utility pole.

The crash broke the utility pole, causing a power outage in the area.

His passenger, Mason Hummel, 15, also of Rossburg, had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Both were taken to Wayne Hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The Darke County Sheriff's Office wants to remind motorists to be careful while driving during snow and icy conditions.
