TODAY: Its a hot but not super muggy day with highs reaching the middle 90s for the first day of summer, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini said.

While we’ll be warm, dew points will stay around 60, which will make it feel more comfortable.

Tonight temperatures only drop into the lower 70s.

WEDNESDAY: We’ll see another hot and muggy day with the chance for showers and storms by the afternoon and evening.

Highs will reach the middle 90s, but it will be very humid and the heat index ill be over 100 degrees.

A cold front will start to move through the region, bringing the chance for showers and storms. The window for activity will be between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. with some storms possibly reaching the strong to severe levels. Damaging winds will be the main threats of any storms that develop and move through.

Dry conditions return at night.
