Springfield High School students to pack meals for children in South Africa

SPRINGFIELD — For the third year, Springfield High Schoolers will be partaking in packing meals for children from the country of Lesotho.

The school has partnered with Lesotho Nutrition Initiative to host meal-packing sessions.

To accommodate social distancing, students will be split up into three different sessions. Over 100 students have been scheduled to participate in the event.

The first session is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. today and the final session will end at 1:00 p.m.

According to a press release, the Lesotho Nutrition Initiative was founded by a group of students and faculty at Wittenberg University.

Lesotho is a country located in South Africa.
