Springboro golf-course community protest new homes nearby

SPRINGBORO — Residents of an upscale Springboro golf course community object to new homes being built on nearby land.

City leaders are considering rezoning just more than two acres north of the entrance to the 212-home Heatherwoode Golf Community.

The Daniel Family Trust is seeking to rezone the the land so it can be developed into a seven-lot subdivision off South Main Street.

Heatherwoode residents cited concerns at the public hearing regarding the affect on property values, traffic and safety for students at the local junior high school.
