Shelby County Chief Deputy announces bid to run for sheriff

Days after long-time Shelby County Sheriff John Lenhart announced he will not seek re-election in 2020, his long-time Chief Deputy Jim Frye announced he’s running for sheriff.

The announcement came Friday afternoon at the Shelby County Court House with Lenhart, current deputies, other elected officials, family and supporters.
