FAIRBORN — Dayton Power & Light is moving a transformer from a railcar to a substation, erquiring crews to block several roads Wednesday morning through Fairborn.
The move was scheduled to begin around 8:30 a.m. and is expected to take about four hours because the trailer can only travel 5 mph, Fairborn spokeswoman Meghan Howard said.

Fairborn police are temporarily blocking streets during the move as it travels from a railcar off Schwerman Drive to a DP&L substation off Colonel Glenn Highway.
“We advise finding an alternative path if you can from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.,” Howard said.
