Services set for Ohioan killed in I-75 Shelby County crossover crash

Services will be conducted in Troy for the 21-year-old Fairfield County man killed Monday night in the I-75 crossover crash near Sidney in Shelby County.

Nicholas Bayman, of Carroll (southeast of Columbus), died at Miami Valley Hospital in the aftermath of the accident that sent three people to area hospitals.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol had identified Mr. Bayman as being from the village of Milan, in Erie and Huron counties in northern Ohio.

At the time of his death, Mr. Bayman was in a co-op program at Bettcher Industries in Birmingham, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Pickerington Central High and a junior at the University of Cincinnati, where he was taking part in the bio medical engineering program.

Mr. Bayman is survived by his parents, Mike Bayman of Gordonsville, Va., and Heather Bayman of Piqua and his stepfather, Douglas Holliday, of Pickerington.

He also leaves to mourn his grandparents June Enochs of Piqua, Corby Enochs of Troy and Patty Bayman of Covington; a brother, Cameron, of Pickerington; a stepsister, KeeAnn Thompson of Pataskala; and his girlfriend, Allish McGaughey of Gordonsville.

A Celebration of Life service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home in Troy. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
