Semi, dump truck fires shoot massive flames in Dayton parking lot

DAYTON — Two trucks erupted in massive flames in a Dayton parking lot Thursday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched to the area of West Stewart Street and Wisconsin Boulevard after a passerby reported around 5 a.m. that a semi-truck and a dump truck were engulfed in flames.

The trucks continued to burn in a parking lot behind a warehouse, but has since been extinguished by firefighters, according to our news crew on scene.

No injuries were reported.

A fire investigator was requested to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze. Fire officials couldn’t say at this time if the fire is considered suspicious.

Crews blocked Stewart Street near Wisconsin while they battled the blaze, the road has since reopened.
