Police: School bus driver at fault in Dayton crash; 2 students hospitalized

DAYTON — Two students were hospitalized after a Dayton Public Schools bus was involved in a crash on West Third Street Friday morning.

The crash was reported on West Third Street near North Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton around 7:25 a.m.

A DPS spokeswoman said 30 students were on the bus when the crash occurred. Two of them were transported to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries. Remaining students were either transported to school or were picked up by parents, according to the spokeswoman.

Police said the bus driver failed to yield and was at fault in the crash.
