Passing showers, storms possible through weekend

A few showers will continue overnight, however, more dry time is expected closer toward daybreak, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.

DETAILED FORECAST

Saturday: Starting the day dry with lots of clouds. Scattered showers and storms will develop by late morning and through the afternoon. Best chance for storms will be during the peak heating of the day. Severe threat is low, but heavy rain and gusty winds will be possible. Temperatures will reach into the upper 70s. It also will be muggy. Drying out again into Saturday night, becoming partly cloudy and still humid. Lows drop into the lower 60s.

Sunday: Partly cloudy, warm and humid for Sunday with a few isolated shower or storms possible. The coverage will be minimal during the day. A better chance for showers and storms develop into Sunday evening and Sunday night. One or two storms could become intense with heavy rain, gusty winds and hail. Temperatures for the day climbing into the lower 80s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with the chance of a few passing showers or storms. Highs around 80 degrees.
