Greater Dayton RTA to stop accepting tokens at end of year

Greater Dayton RTA tokens will no longer be accepted as valid fare beginning Jan. 1, 2019.

The RTA announced earlier this year that it would phase out and eliminate its token program because of costs and low customer usage, according to the public transit service.

Tokens are nonrefundable, so riders with tokens need to use them by Dec. 31.
