UPDATE: Identity of man arrested after Darke County robbery released

DARKE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 8:30 p.m.:

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man arrested in the Farmer’s State Bank Robbery.

Bryan Adkins, 41, of Hollansburg was found at 112 West Washington Street in New Madison, and in possession of drug paraphernalia, drugs, and evidence linking him to the bank robbery.

Several other items were found at the residence and were linked to other theft offenses in Darke County.

Adkins was arrested and transported to the Darke County Jail where he will wait for his initial court appearance.

The case remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 5:23 p.m.:

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man involved in the Farmer’s State Bank Robbery that occurred Tuesday morning.

The person arrested has not yet been identified.

Further details about the incident will be available later, the sheriff’s office said.

The robbery is currently under investigation.

INITIAL REPORT:

Deputies are investigating a robbery at the Farmer’s State Bank on South Main Street this morning.

The robbery was reported around 9:30 a.m. and a weapon was reportedly shown by the robber, according to emergency dispatch reports.

Initial reports indicated the robber had on a dark colored hoodie and mask during the robbery.

The robber left the bank heading south driving a white vehicle, according to dispatch reports.
