GERMAN TWP., Clark County — Two people were rescued from a van trapped in high water on St. Paris Pike in German Twp.
Both the people rescued were females, a German Twp. police officer said, and they walked away uninjured.
There was a second vehicle in high water, farther away from the first, also on St. Paris Pike. There was no one in it.
The water rescue was dispatched about 10:37 p.m.
St. Paris Pike was shut down about midnight because of high water. A Springfield city engineer's office crew put up "road closed" signs.
