— Miamisburg and Dayton police responded to two separate shootings late Sunday night and early Monday morning, respectively.
The shootings are not related, and they’re non-life-threatening.
The first shooting happened at the Valley Glen Apartments in the 1000 block of East Linden Avenue in Miamisburg around 11:25 p.m. Monday. A male was shot in the leg, and it was unclear if the shooting was self-inflicted, according to scanner traffic.
A police officer at the scene said he did not have details about the shooting at the time. We’ve reached out to Miamisburg police for additional details.
The second shooting happened in the 1200 block of West Grand Avenue in Dayton just before 1 a.m. Monday.
Emergency crews who were dispatched to scene found a male victim who was alert and conscious, said Dayton Police Sgt. Chad Knedler. The victim refused treatment and the scene, and instead wanted to drive himself to the hospital.
Victim knows the suspect who shot him, Knedler said.
