Home a total loss, pets unaccounted for after fire in Miami County

UPDATE @ 11:30 p.m.:

A two-story residence is a total loss after it caught fire Sunday night in the 6200 block of Tipp-Elizabeth Road, according to Assistant Chief Schreadley.

Two pets are unaccounted for at this time.

The occupants of the home were inside at the time of the fire, but were able to escape with no injuries, said Schreadley.

The cause and damage estimate is unknown, as it’s still under investigation.

Casstown, Christiansburg, New Carlisle and Tipp City responded to the scene.

FIRST REPORT:

A fully involved two-story dwelling fire occurred Sunday night in the 6200 block of Tipp-Elizabeth Road.

The incident was reported around 8:30 p.m., according to dispatch.

According to initial reports, all occupants were reportedly outside from the fire that was heavy on all floors.
