Officials responded to the 3300 block of Stanley Avenue around 10:40 p.m. and found heavy fire coming from a car that struck a building across from the Setters Volleyball Club.

Initial reports indicate the occupant was still inside the car upon arrival, but once crews arrived, no one was inside the car and the driver was no longer on scene.

Crews from Dayton Power & Light, as well as Vectren personnel, were called to shut off the utilities to the building due to a gas leak caused by the vehicle hitting a gas line in the wreck.

There was exterior damage to building and it is unknown if it was occupied.

Stanley Avenue was blocked while crews handled the incident.
