1 injured after car crosses median, hits two other vehicles in Riverside

RIVERSIDE — UPDATE @ 9:30 a.m.: 

Fire crews freed one driver who was trapped in their car after a crash on Harshman Road in Riverside, according to police.

Officers said a red Hyundai sedan was traveling north on Harshman Road near Springfield Street around 8:30 a.m. when the driver lost control, sending the car across the center median. The car slammed into an SUV and a work truck in the southbound lanes before coming to rest against a wall.

The driver of the sedan was trapped as a result of the crash, police said. They were extracted from the car and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The condition of the driver wasn’t available.

The other two drivers were not injured.

The crash blocked both southbound lanes of Harshman Road but police reopened all lanes around 9:30 a.m.

Additional details were not available.

UPDATE @ 9:05 a.m.: 

Both southbound lanes of Harshman Road are blocked and one northbound lane is also blocked following a crash in Riverside Monday morning.

The conditions of those injured in the crash were not immediately available.

One person is reportedly trapped after a two-vehicle crash on Harshman Road in Riverside Monday morning.

Police and fire crews responded to the area of Harshman Road and Springfield Street around 8:30 a.m. after the crash was reported.

Initial reports indicate the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Harshman Road and traffic is backed up to Ohio 4.

The condition of those injured in the crash was not immediately known.
