Report: Juveniles threaten local store owner with toy gun

DAYTON — Three juveniles were arrested Sunday after they attempted to steal multiple items from a convenience store  in the 2700 block of Linden Avenue.

According to a Dayton Police report the owner locked the store door and confronted the suspects after he observed them stealing items and placing them into their book bags.

When the juveniles realized they could not exit the store they threatened the owner with a toy gun and a pocket knife stating , “I have a gun let me go.” After the store owner did not respond to the threats a teen yelled, “Go back to your country.”

Police arrived on scene shortly after the threats and arrested all three juveniles on aggravated robbery charges.
