Red Cross requested after structure fire in Harrison Twp.

Harrison Twp. — Fire crews worked to extinguish a working structure fire on the 1900 block of Republic Dr. in Harrison Twp. Saturday afternoon.

Crews were dispatched around 4 p.m. where they quickly worked to knock down a fully involved kitchen fire.

Battalion Chief Terry Overman of the Harrison Twp. Fire Department told News Center 7 that the kitchen is a total loss and suffered approximately $20,000 dollars worth of damage.

Overman said the incident was a result of a a cooking fire.

There was one adult and two children inside of the home who are having to relocate and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

There were no injuries reported.
