Records: Man stabbed by 15-year-old girl after attacking her pregnant mother

SPRINGFIELD — A man who allegedly broke down the front door to a Springfield home and attacked a pregnant woman before being stabbed by her 15-year-old daughter is facing criminal charges in connection with the incident.

Victor Thompson Jr., 34, of Cincinnati, was charged in Clark County Municipal Court with one count of domestic violence and one count of assault.

Springfield police began their investigation when they were called to a home on the 800 block of Hillcrest Avenue Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report. Thompson was found bleeding at the home and was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center, according to the report.

His condition is unknown at this time and he has not appeared for an arraignment hearing on the charges.

New court records filed with the charges reveal the woman who was attacked was pregnant.

“The defendant Victor L. Thompson Jr. did knowingly cause physical harm to the pregnant mother of his children … by choking her and striking her in the face with a closed fist, causing swelling and bleeding to her mouth,” the court documents say.
