Pursuit ends in deadly crash in Richmond, Ind.

RICHMOND, Ind. — A Richmond, Ind. man died Thursday night when he crashed his car during a police pursuit, according to a release from Richmond police.

Around 11:30 p.m., police attempted to stop a BMW in the area of 14th and National Road West. The vehicle fled.

Police officers lost sight of the vehicle, and it crashed in the 1100 block of Abington Pike, according to the release.

The driver, identified as Phillip Casebolt, 36, of Richmond, died at the scene.

The pursuit and crash remains under investigation by Indiana State Police and Richmond Police.
