— September is National Preparedness Month, and county officials nationwide are reminding households, businesses and communities to be prepared and plan for emergencies.
Greene County Public Health is reminding residents to be prepared, not scared with these four steps: be informed about emergencies that could happen in your community and what to do before, during and after; make a plan for what to do in an emergency; build an emergency supply kit; and get involved.
Hosted by the Ready Campaign and Citizen Corps, each week during the month will focus on a different aspect of preparedness.
The American Red Cross Northern Miami Valley Ohio Chapter is prepared all year for disasters and is urging everyone to “Be Red Cross Ready” too.
