The driver said, “I want her,” when the resident asked what the driver wanted for the necklace, the report read.

The resident said the silver SUV, which was described as a 2019 Ford Explorer, had out of state plates, the report read. The report said it’s possible the plates on the vehicle are issued from Colorado.

Police surveyed the neighborhood following the reported incident and were able to find a home surveillance system on Wynora Avenue that captured the driver on video.

Several other home surveillance systems on Prince Albert also captured the driver on video, including one that had the silver SUV sitting in front of the resident’s home for about 3 minutes while her children were playing in the front yard.

Parents are urged to be aware and talk to their children about strangers and report anything unusual to Riverside police.
