UPDATE: Missing Richmond woman found safe

UPDATE 5/5/2021 @ 7:55 p.m.:

Mikaela Grace Estes, the Richmond, Indiana woman missing since May 1, has been located and is safe.

Investigators from the Indiana State Police said they worked with police officers from an out of state law enforcement agency who located and spoke with Estes.

They confirmed that she is safe and they have no reason to believe she was taken out of state against her will.

Estes location was not released to protect her privacy.

INITIAL REPORT:

Indiana State Police (ISP) investigators are attempting to locate a Richmond, Indiana woman.

Mikaela Grace Estes was reported missing on Saturday, May 1, and police said she had been traveling from Indianapolis to her home in Richmond along I-70.

Family members told police that Estes called them around 8:30 p.m. to let them know she was stopping for gas at the Wilburwright Road exit between New Castle and Cambridge City, Indiana.

Estes was driving a silver 2016 Chrysler 200 with a temporary license plate.

ISP investigators were able to confirm Estes was in Columbus, Ohio Sunday May 2 around 1 p.m.

They are still trying to locate her to figure out if she is there of her own free will or not.

Estes is 27 years old, 5′03″ and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
