Police looking for suspect in attempted robbery of W. Carrollton food mart

Police are searching for a man who tried to rob the J&K Food Mart, on West Central Avenue, in West Carrollton.

At 10:10 p.m., police were setting up a K-9 unit for a possible track of a suspect.

The robbery occurred about 9:45 p.m.

Police describe the suspect as "thick" and said he was wearing a denim jacket with cut-off sleeves, a brown "western hat" and a long-sleeve shirt with graphics.

In the description broadcast by police, there was no mention of a weapon.

The suspect was last seen leaving, possibly in a white Toyota, police said.
