SPRINGFIELD — Police are investigating after one person died in a shooting in the 700 block of East Pleasant Street Sunday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the scene just after 5:30 a.m.
One person was killed, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Springfield Police are still investigating the shooting. We will update you once we learn more about what events led up to the shooting.
