Plane makes emergency landing in Clinton County

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field in Clinton County this morning.

The 1967 Beechcraft Bonaza plane landed in a plowed field near Krouse Road at Farmers Road in Washington Twp. in Clinton County, according to a release. The pilot, Douglas Alexander, 57, of Oxford, Miss., made the emergency landing after one of the cylinders in the engine failed, causing a loss of power.

Alexander was not injured, and the plane and the field did not sustain any damage.

The Federal Aviation Administration was contacted and an investigator responded to the scene. The FAA will be conducting the investigation with the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
