Pickup strikes, kills horse in roadway, erupts in flames near Enon

Pick up truck burst into flames after hitting horse in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY — A pickup truck erupted in flames Friday night after it struck and killed a horse in the middle of the road near Enon.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. in the 5000 block of Dayton Springfield Road, which was temporarily shut down following the crash.

Two people in the pickup are both OK.

The horse’s owners said the horse, named Kylie, was 18.

The owners said they didn’t know how she had gotten out and that she had never gotten out before.

The area of the crash is rural and has no lighting.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Road is investigating the crash.
