1 shot, transported to Dayton hospital; Suspect still at large

JEFFERSON TWP. — Police are on scene where a person was shot outside of a Jefferson Twp. business.

According to regional dispatch records, a 911 caller reported a person came into a business on the 5300 block of W. Third St. with a gunshot wound around 8:35 p.m.

Initial investigations revealed an altercation between two people happened inside the Vibez Lounge and Grill.

The altercation continued out to the parking lot and that’s when one subject pulled out a firearm and shot the other in the right leg, according to a press release.

The suspect who shot the man then fled the area before police arrived.

Dispatchers said the person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. The shooting victim injury is non-life-threatening according to a press release.

At the time of this reporting police say the suspect is currently at large.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says this incident remains under investigation.
