More than 30 people report broken or shot-out windows in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — At least 32 reports have now been made of broken or shot-out car windows in Springfield.

On Tuesday, police reported 20 residents had filed reports for broken car windows. At least 12 more reports have been filed since then, police said Friday.

Springfield police Lt. Lou Turner said they are still looking for the suspect responsible for the random car window smashing, which took place between 11 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Most of the reports were in the area of Sturgeon Street.
