UPDATE: Power restored to most after AES Ohio outage in parts of Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 8:15 a.m.:

About 170 AES Ohio customers remain without power in parts of Montgomery County following an outage that initially knocked out power to thousands Wednesday morning.

The outage initially knocked out power to 3,582 people when it was first reported around 7 a.m., according to an AES Ohio outage map.

The 170 outages in Montgomery County are scattered in parts of Harrison Twp. and more in the eastern Huber Heights area near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The cause of the outages is still under investigation and AES Ohio crews are on scene, a company spokesperson told News Center 7. An estimated time for full restoration wasn’t known.
