Power mostly restored to the Miami Valley due to this morning’s winds

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Power has been mostly restored to AES Ohio customers across the Miami Valley Saturday after more than 5,200 customers were without power due to strong wind gusts.

As of 12:06 p.m., 273 customers are without power, according to the AES Ohio outages map.

AES crews are responding and working to restore power back to the Miami Valley, AES Ohio spokesperson Mary Ann Kabel told News Center 7.

The projected restoration times are nearing a few hours, according to AES’s Outage Map.

Strong winds this morning are the cause of the outages, Kabel said.

Winds can cause power lines to break.

There have been no reports of property damage from these fallen or damaged power lines or transformers.

Outages are still being reported in the following counties:
