Person shot in Trotwood was violating protection order, police say

TROTWOOD — A person shot in Trotwood Wednesday evening was violating a protection order, according to Trotwood police.

Police responded to the 5500 block of Autumn Leaf Drive around 9:22 p.m. Wednesday on reports of a person shot. The person who had been shot suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and did not cooperate with police, police said.

The person shot was violating a protection order and had instigated the altercation, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation.

According to regional dispatch records, a 911 caller reported that a person was shot on the 5500 block of Autumn Leaf Drive just after 9:20 p.m.
