Two ejected, one dead after vehicle crash in Clinton Co.

UPDATE @ 5:50 p.m.:

One person was killed after a vehicle crash Sunday morning on Airborne Road near State Route 134 in Clinton County, according a release from Lt. Stanley Jordan.

A 2003 Mercury Mountaineer operated by Angela Nace of Wilmington, 47, was traveling northeast on Airborne Road. Her vehicle was also occupied by Janson Nace of Wilmington, 27, Olivia Murray of Clarksville, 26, and three juveniles from Wilmington.

Mr. Nace and Ms. Murray were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Nace was pronounced deceased at Clinton Memorial Hospital, and Ms. Murray is listed in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

The preliminary investigation indicated the Mercury Mountaineer drove left of center, over corrected to the right, and overturned.

Wilmington Fire and EMS, Wilmington Police Department, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Officer also responded to the scene.

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is still currently investigating the fatal traffic crash.

Crews were dispatched to Airborne Road, about one-half mile east of State Route 134 around 10:30 a.m.

Initial scanner traffic indicated that there were people ejected and entrapped, but that has not been confirmed.

It’s not clear how many vehicles were involved or what caused the crash.

We are working to learn how many people were injured and the extent of those injuries.

Officials are still investigating.
